These are stills of a two-part multimedia requiem born from emotions, feelings, and reflections collected during the 2020 pandemic era.

In a time where social media allows us to share and give insight into our lives, the role of photography and videography have transformed private experiences into public virtual spaces.

The visuals were captured using the back camera of an iPhone 8 set through the eye lens of a Canon Elan II film camera to blend contemporary and retro technology, essentially creating the nostalgic gaze of home videos whilst immortalizing the intimacy of memories. Combined with personal journal excerpts and audio recordings from 2021, this amalgamation subverts the ostentatious nature of social media through raw depiction of unfiltered emotions. The project renders itself as a therapeutic remembering of a difficult period filled with global unrest and instability.
